a question: Do you guys want a reboot of the Tokyo Ghoul series and animated by a different company. Tokyo Ghoul is animated by Studio Pierrot(Naruto etc.(I'm also a big fan of Naruto series but too m

For me I wouldn't mind a reboot 'cause they skipped so many parts from the manga, like with rize and all, I didn't even know that she was alive until I read the manga. I wish that Tokyo ghoul season 1 would've been a 24 episode-series, they didn't fit all of the manga content in the 12 episodes of tokyo ghoul S1. Just stating

I think a good majority would agree that the anime is a 4/10 and the 4 is only for the music. To be honest though, if they do a reboot I hope that they can keep the music because that was by far the best part of the anime. Hell, I have both the original and acoustic version of Unravel along with drum and piano covers of it.

Yeah I agree the music is so great.

What's your favorite OST from TG guys?

I love 'licht und Schatten'

Pierrot has been accused of RUSH STORY. This is the reason the legal right of the animation has been transferred to MADHOUSE.

The Madhouse is deciding if they will continue the story and make season 3 yet some Citizens of Japan wanted to reboot the whole series.

This is according to the article, I've readed.

According to him,

Spring Season

Tokyo Ghoul (reboot) = 25 episodes (Tokyo Ghoul Chapter 1 = 95)

Tokyo Ghoul (OVA)

Tokyo Ghoul 2 (reboot) = 25 episodes (Tokyo Ghoul Chapter 95 - ?)

Unknown Year

Tokyo Ghoul 3 = 25 episodes ( Tokyo Ghoul:re Chapter 1 - Chapter 60)

For more information, just search in Google or Yahoo. "Tokyo Ghoul Reboot Project"

If you didn't find it it means the proposal has been denied or being kept confidential. Thank you very much.

Madhouse, for me would be ideal, they did a great job with Black Lagoon so this seems right up their street. If they're only making season 3 they'll have to just assume people read the manga because root a left so many plotholes there is no way they could do season 3 from where they left of. at a guess the first episode of seasong 3 will cover how root a should have ended (introduces clowns, juuzou's leg is lost-they might just have to say it gets amputates, etc.)

We'll just have to wait for the actual confirmation from a very reliable source...

Pffft, i feel like this thread was inspired by what i posted before XD

if so, wasnt intending this but i must say they skipped too much to be satsifying, yet im not sure about a reboot

There needs to be a reboot. All the symbolism and deep meanings that are put into Tokyo Ghoul was completely absent from the Anime. The Anime skipped so much material it is ridiculous. The are 217 chapters worth of material, it should be made into a long running series. To put it into context, Fullmetal Alchemist had 108 chapters and it was faithfully adapted into Brotherhood in 64 episodes. 217 is over twice 108, that means there is at least 128 episdoes worth of source material to be made into the Anime.

Maybe id suggest simply a Tokyo ghoul Route B, a season dedicated towards the proper route it took, that or the route he wouldve had if he stayed in Anteiku ect, Maybe then could fix it with no full reboot needed

Honestly i believe that the anime should not have a reboot se they can finish the story of kaneki

I had the same opinion on rebooting the season 2. I already read the portion of the manga wherein the season 2 supposedly took place and in my opinion there are many key points and events that the anime didn't cover (the captivity and release of Rize and the captivity of Yoshimura after the Owl Supression Arc). I was really disappointed on how the Root A turn out and to be completely honest it's too boring unlike the first anime.
