Summary[]

Touka, Hinami, and the children watch as Hazuki kills Tago and blocks their exit and taunts them. Suddenly, his giant kagune tears through the hall. Hinami blocks it with hers, noting it's power, before being pushed back. Touka jumps at her defense and uses her kagune to launch shards at Hazuki. Hinami gets back up, stating that she is okay. Hazuki threatens them with a killing blow. Take and Squad Zero show up and provide cover, telling Touka and the ghouls to press forward. Hazuki calls Take a traitor and asks if he's insane, prompting him to talk. Take remains silence. Suddenly a silhouetted man shows up and attacks Take.

Meanwhile, Iwao is battling Shikorae.  Iwao gains the upper hand, landing many critical blows. As he grows tired and loses stamina, Roma's massive kagune destroys the ground. Iwao manages to dodge many of her hits, but in an attempt to retaliate, breaks his sword. Defenseless, he is swatted away. Roma tells Shikorae to finish him off. As Shikorae uses his kagune to attack Iwao, he uses the leftover piece of the sword to slice it. Urie watches, unable to help. He yells for Iwao to leave him and get out. Urie is severely injured, describing his pain and hoping to heal faster. He begins to have flashbacks to Shirazu's death. He thinks back to his fond memories with Shirazu and thinks if only he was here. He begins to blame Kuroiwa for the death of his father. At the same moment, Iwao is picked up by Roma. Urie yells and gets back up. Shikorae charges at him but gets his hand sliced off while attempting to catch Urie's kagune. With Shikorae incapacitated, Urie runs at Roma. He is crushed into the floor, before being picked up and swallowed whole by Roma.
